Inauguration of the Office of ELTAI Bilaspur Chapter

The office of ELTAI Bilaspur Chapter was inaugurated on 9th June 2013 at 6.00 pm by Prof. C.B.S. Chauhan and Dr. Manju Salil Mitra, patrons of ELTAI Bilaspur Chapter.

It was felt by the members that ELTAI Bilaspur Chapter must have a place of its own to sit and discuss on the issues related to ELT. The members were unable to gather at one place. But by the opening of this office, ELTAIANS of Bilaspur have a place of their own to discuss and develop themselves. 
Dr. G.A. Ghanshyam, National Vice President of ELTAI conducted the programme and has given a brief description of ELTAI Bilaspur Chapter, its activities and achievements. Prof. Chauhan and Dr. Manju Mitra inaugurated the office room of ELTAI where some of the donated books by Sri. Natarajan, (Retd. Rly. Officer), Mr. Rakesh Dighraskar and Dr. Ghanshyam are kept with various journals. The library is for the use of ELTAIANS.
Mrs. and Mr. Ghanshyam have given the ground floor of their house for the activities of ELTAI where there is a hall for the lecture/workshop, a room for the office of ELTAI Bilaspur chapter, a fully furnished guest room for the resource persons to stay and a fully furnished pantry. 
Dr. Chauhan urged the youngsters to come forward and develop themselves. He said that it's the high time to look into ourselves and understand what is in us. He admired the efforts of ELTAI Bilaspur Chapter and requested the fraternity of English to help the handful of people of ELTAI Bilaspur Chapter who are doing wonderful job. He congratulated Mrs. and Mr. Ghanshyam for their devotion to the language.
Dr. Manju Mitra praised ELTAI for doing wonderful things for the promotion of English and assured that she will be always available for the cause of ELTAI.
Dr. Devasree Chakravarti, the sponsored candidate of ELTAI Bilaspur Chapter for TEC2012 shared her experience with the members. 
Mr. Rakesh Dighraskar, Secretary of ELTAI Bilaspur Chapter proposed the Vote of thanks.

ELT@I RAJNANDGAON CHAPTER FORMED

English Language Teaching in Chhattisgarh is taking a new shape in association with English Language Teachers' Association of India, British Council and various other organisation. The teachers are being trained  by the Master Trainers to propagate the new advancement in the learning and teaching method of English.
ELT@I is an organisation striving hard to make India the hub of ELT related activities. In this connection on 29th July 2012 another chapter of ELT@I was formed in Rajnandgaon. This is the 58th Chapter of ELT@I.
The Chief Guest of the function was Dr. I.D. Tiwari, Dean Arts Faculty, IKSVV, Khairagarh, (C.G.), the Special Guest was Dr. Savita Singh, Co-ordinator ELT@I Raipur Chapter and the Guest of Honour was Mr. Shivaji Kushwaha, President, ELT@I Bilaspur Chapter

After the invocation of goddess Saraswati, Dr. G.A. Ghanshyam, National Vice President of ELT@I has given a detailed description about ELT@I, its mission, vision, membership details, activities and has invited the teaches of English from all levels to come under one banner to promote and propagate English among the learners. 

Dr. Savita Singh has presented a power point presentation on "Idioms and ELT". She narrated the details of the idioms, their origin and the uses in a wonderful way. The presentation was enjoyed by all the participants and it kept the ball rolling.

Dr. I.D. Tiwari stressed the use of organisations like ELT@I and appealed the teachers to be a part of the activities of ELT@I. He assured the gathering that Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh will soon start a chapter of ELT@I at Khairagarh. He congratulated Mr. Dhanesh Sinha and Mr. Sayeed Quraishi for their wonderful effort. 

In the second session Dr. G.A. Ghanshyam, NVP of ELT@I presented a power point presentation to show the status of English associated with heart touching videos. He motivated the gathering to take the charge of conducting activities for the benefit of the student community.

At the end Mr. Rakesh Dighrasker, Secretary ELT@I Bilaspur Chapter tendered the vote of thanks.
